OSHA Publishes Final Rule on Cranes and Derricks in Construction

OSHA recently published their final rule on cranes and derricks in construction.

The new rule replaces a decades old standard and affects nearly 300,000 construction and crane operators around the country.

Secretary of Labor Hilda L. Solis said the Labor Department reviewed and changed the rule after the significant number of fatalities associated with use of cranes in construction. The new rule is designed to prevent these fatalities.
